Service Description
This practical, hands-on workshop is designed to help you understand and confidently use your overlocker (serger) by putting it into practice straight away—making your own simple T-shirt. Ideal for those who own an overlocker but haven’t fully got to grips with it, this session focuses on building confidence through doing. You’ll be guided step-by-step through setting up your machine, understanding stitch settings and constructing a garment using stretch fabric. You’ll receive a simple T-shirt sewing pattern, and Nikki will support you in using your overlocker to assemble your garment with clean, professional results. Please bring your own overlocker and jersey fabric, so you can learn on your own machine and leave feeling confident to continue sewing at home. All pattern materials are included. Important Information You are encouraged to bring your own overlocker so you can learn on the machine you’ll be using at home. Nikki will support you in understanding how to use it; however, if your machine is not functioning correctly and cannot be resolved quickly, you will be asked to use one of the studio machines so the workshop can continue smoothly for everyone. By paying for your booking you are agreeing to the following terms: Sewing classes, courses, master classes, lessons and workshops terms No refunds or rescheduling: Due to limited enrolment and needing to know numbers in advance to book rooms and prepare materials as well as needing to know whether to go ahead with or to postpone a class, classes are non-refundable; transfers or reschedules are not always available. Please check your diary carefully before you sign up. If a course or class is very undersubscribed it may very occasionally have to be cancelled. The option will be given to transfer the booking to an alternative date or class, or get a refund. Payment is in advance only: I am unable to reserve spaces on courses or in classes without payment. Bring the equipment you need: It is your responsibility to check with me before the end of each class what you need to bring for your next class, email me if you’re not sure. This is so that you can be fully prepared and get the most out of each class.
